Thanks to all the NYPD runners who came out to run the David Lerner Associates Long Island Police Appreciation Run.

Thank you David Lerner Associates and the Greater Long Island Running Club for naming the overall Law Enforcement Officer Finisher award after our comrade NYPD Detective Brian Moore.

Congratulations to our overall top finisher, and winner of the first annual Brian Moore Award to Sergeant Shaun Mara - 7th Overall in a time of 18:31, and Police Officer Jennifer Livingston who was the third female overall and the first Female Law Enforcement Officer in a time of 20:37.

Other award winners from our team were Stephen Janec - 2nd Place Law Enforcement Masters, Julie Aymar - 2nd Place Female Law Enforcement Officer, Stacey Gustafson - 1st Place Law Enforcement Masters, Michele Irizarry 3rd Place Law Enforcement Masters, Steven Giuliani 3rd Place Age Group, Nicolas Gouzien - 3rd Place Age Group.

Each year the NYPD Running Club joins with our fellow Law Enforcement officers from Nassau and Suffolk counties to enjoy a great run around Eisenhower Park, with food and beverages to follow.

This run is a 5K Race in the heart of Nassau County. For those of you considering running it and live in New York City, Eisenhower Park is only about 20 minutes from the Nassau/Queens boarder.

In addition to the normal age group awards, this race also has Law Enforcement awards. Come out and support this run where the entire net proceeds go to POLICE CRISIS FUND to support Law Enforcement officers and their families

If you intend to come to this event please send an email to NYPDRC@Verizon.net so we can have a head count and arrange for the proper amount of food and beverages.
