Long Island Marathon, Festival of RacesSaturday, May 3rd, 2008 8:00 AM The 2008 Long Island Marathon, Festival of Races featured a new 5K Race, 10K Race, Kidz Fun Run, and of course, Half Marathon and Marathon.Congratulations to the many NYPD Running Club Members and friends who participated in these various races. Some notable results from our running club members - Dave Stein finished in 5th Place Overall in the 10K Race, 2nd Place in his age group. Kevin Healy was right behind him in 6th Place Overall, 1st in his age group. In the Half Marathon NYPD finishers were Peter Loehle 1:49, Bill Brooks 1:53, Cindy Stimpfel 1:55, Trish Biggers 2:05, Barry Duignan 2:09, Sandy Santarsiero 2:09, Lisa Sayers 2:12, Thomas Lowney 2:15.
