Chicago Police Run To Remember

Saturday, May 2nd, 2015 8:00 AM

The Chicago Police have supported our department by coming here in droves for Detective Liu and Ramos' funerals and they plan to attend our NYPD Memorial Run on May 17th.

Please consider running this event in memory of Chicago Police Officers who have died in the line of duty. (The club will pay your entry)

The 11th Annual Run to Remember is a 5K USATF certified chip-timed 5k Run or, if you choose, a non-competitive 5k walk, on Chicago's beautiful lakefront. More than 5,000 citizens, police officers, families of fallen officers and supporters of the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation are expected to participate in the 11th Annual Run to Remember. The event also features a junior jog, family friendly After-Party, appearances by the CPD Mounted Unit, K-9 Unit, and helicopter unit as well as a children's activities area and performances by the Pipes and Drums of the Emerald Society. The R2R starts and finishes at Gold Star Families Memorial and Park, located just east of Soldier Field.

Any NYPD Running Club member who runs this event wearing a NYPD Running Club singlet will be reimbursed their entry fee. Send an email to the club at nypdrc@verizon.net after the event with a photo of you wearing the singlet in Chicago and include your entry fee cost and we will send you a reimbursement check.
