Al Gordon 4Miles
Saturday, February 21st, 2015 8:00 AMCelebrate health and longevity at this four-mile race in Brooklyn's Prospect Park. Namesake Al Gordon exemplified NYRR?s motto, Run for Life. A standout track runner in college, Gordon had an 80-year career in finance and was an NYRR board member and benefactor. He started running marathons in his 80s and exercised regularly until the end of his life in 2009?at age 107. Lace up in Gordon's honor! This is a "classic" race that brings back the feel?and the pricing?of our events of yesteryear. The entry fee is $10 in all categories, and there are no T-shirts, no physical awards (award winners will be listed on our website as usual), and no post-race activities. The race is timed and scored, but it is not a marathon qualifier and it has a reduced field size. Please note: This event is open to NYRR members only.
